Johnson and Tadlock back to work!

Allison Johnson and Pamela Tadlock found themselves out of work due to no fault of their own.  In WIOA terms, they were both ‘dislocated’.  Working in partnership with our NCWorks Career Center, we were able to partner with Beaufort County Developmental Center to find employment for both.  Johnson is their new Assistant Finance Manager-AR and Tadlock is their new Administrative Assistant-ADMIN. Revelle puts training to work!

Gina Revelle recently completed the HVAC Training Program at Roanoke-Chowan Community College.  The WIOA Program partnered with Tarheel Fireplace and Grill Shop in Hertford, NC to place Gina in a full-time job as a Service Technician.  Gina began work on Friday, October 27 as part of an On-the-Job Training Contract.  We are excited for Gina and thank Tarheel Fireplace and Grill Shop for the opportunity!  It is great employers like them that make this program a success.  For more information ...

Allah finds Success!

Through the Martin County NCWorks Career Center, Jami Allah, attended SAGE Truck Driving School at Nash Community College and obtained his commercial driver’s license (CDL) certificate and license. He also received a certificate of Achievement for Perfect Attendance.

His case is very unique because, in spite of his past circumstances, he was unwilling to give up. Because of Mr. Allah’s past involvement with the criminal justice system he knew that he would be faced with many hurdles to finding employment. It ...
