Roy Stanley, like many others, received his layoff notice from Clarcor/Parker Hannifin.  Roy applied for a job with PAS USA and found that he lacked the skills he needed for the job.  Fortunately for Roy, PAS USA utilizes the On-the-Job (OJT) Training Program.  The OJT Program is able to help subsidize the hourly wages of employees who have a foundation skill set but lack the necessary skills for the job for their new job.  Roy is pictured with four other ...

Little finds success!

Akia Little enrolled in the Pitt County NextGen Program in 2016 at the age of 22. Little was not working and had very little work experience, but knew he needed to obtain his GED to move forward in his life.  He enrolled in the Transitional Studies Program at Pitt Community College and got his GED a month later!  Little had heard about the Career Readiness Certificate and how it helped with verifying employment skills, so he set his sights ...

Moore finds Success!

Shaqwanda came to NCWorks as a single mother working part-time, barely making ends meet.  She knew she had to make a change.  Shaqwanda knew she loved working with the public and accepted an On-the-Job Training opportunity with Metropolitan Property Management in the Accounting/Reception Department. Shaqwanda began working at Metropolitan in February of 2017 and became a full-time employee in July.
