Rivers East Workforce Development Board in partnership with Hyster-Yale Group, Pitt County Economic Development, and Gregory Poole Lift Systems is happy to share that the Forklift Rodeo is back! This event—which will be held on October 7, 2022 from 8:30am-12:30pm at Uptown Greenville’s Five Points Plaza parking lot—will feature teams composed of forklift operators from local manufacturing companies competing against one another in various courses. In Fall 2021, the Mid-East Commission formed an Advisory Committee of public and private sector representatives from across the region to conduct a five-year major update of the Mid-East Region Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy. The current location will close on May 24, 2022. The Center will reopen to the public on the campus of Martin Community College in Building 1, Room 12 on June 1, 2022.
