With the downsizing of Wells Fargo in Winterville, approximately 168 employees will transition to new careers in the coming months. The Region Q Workforce Development Board in partnership with Pitt Community College recently held a job fair to assist them in finding those careers. Staff would like to thank all the employers who participated along with the WIOA Career Advisors from the Pitt County NCWorks Career Center. Employees were able to network and make connections with over 20 employers who are actively recruiting for open positions!
The job fair was only available to those employees from Wells Fargo. However, we have had so much interest, Board staff and partners are working to organize a community job fair! Watch our page for more details in the coming months!
