Unexpected expenses such as healthcare, childcare, and car breakdowns happen – but they should not keep you from completing your degree or credential program!

In July 2018, Governor Roy Cooper announced the Finish Line Grants Program.  The program was established to assist community college students with those unforeseen, unplanned expenses that would prevent them from completing their training.

Grants are available for the 2020-2021 school year.  The Rivers East Workforce Development Board partnered with all four community colleges that serve our area.  Funds are available for students that attend Beaufort County Community College, Martin Community College, Pitt Community College, and Roanoke Chowan Community College.

The Grants are administered through your local NCWorks Career Centers.
