DeCarlo Mangrum moved to Beaufort County from Virginia. Unfortunately, he was struggling to find a job to support himself and his child. Seeking guidance, he made his way to the Beaufort County NCWorks Career Center. While meeting with a Career Advisor, it was determined that DeCarlo wanted to earn his CDL. After going through the initial assessment process, he was referred to the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Program. DeCarlo was approved and soon enrolled in the Trucking Program at the Carolina Trucking Academy, graduating in July. He applied to Schneider Trucking and was hired soon after! He completed his pre-hire training with Schneider on August 27 and he starts his new job September 4th! We congratulate DeCarlo on his hard work and determination to keep moving forward!
