Youth/NEXTGEN Programs

PURPOSE: The Region Q Workforce Investment Consortium (administered by Mid-East Commission) is soliciting proposals from qualified and eligible organizations/businesses for the competitive selection of Youth/NEXTGEN program operator(s) for in-school and out-of-school participants ages 16-24 under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).  The intent of Region Q Workforce Investment Consortium is to enter into a contractual relationship with one or more proposers beginning January 01, 2020 for a two-year period (through December 31,  2021).

SERVICES & SERVICE AREA:  The Region Q Workforce Investment Consortium is comprised of Beaufort, Bertie, Hertford, Martin & Pitt Counties. Request for Proposals are being accepted for operators for all five (5) counties.

PROCUREMENT DATES:  Request for Proposals (RFP) packages will be available for distribution after 10:00 a.m. beginning Monday, November 18, 2019 at the Region Q Workforce Investment Consortium office located at 1502 N. Market Street, Suite A, Washington, NC  27889. The response deadline will be no later than noon-12:00 p.m. (Eastern Standard Daylight Time), Friday, December 6, 2019.  Late proposals will not be accepted regardless of the circumstance.  A copy of the RFP package may be requested via e-mail.  To obtain an electronic copy of the RFP, you must provide a contact name, company name, address, telephone number, fax number, and e-mail address.  Please submit your request to tharris@mideastcom.org.

The Region Q Workforce Investment Consortium will hold a Bidder’s Conference via webinar on Monday, November 25, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. If you would like to participate in this conference, please request an invitation by emailing jbowen@mideastcom.org by Friday, November 22 at 5:00 p.m.  Questions regarding this proposal must be submitted in writing before Wednesday, November 27, 2019 (12:00 p.m.).  After that date, we will not accept nor respond to any questions.  Should technical corrections need to be made to the Request for Proposal (RFP) package, said corrections and responses to any written questions received/answered will be posted on the website www.regionqwdb.org. It is the responsibility of the Prospective Bidder to check the website for any updates.
