Seeking Two Program Specialists and a Business Services Specialist

The Mid-East Commission Workforce Development Department, located in Washington, North Carolina serving a five-county region, is seeking qualified individuals to fill (3) full time positions- (2) Program Specialists and (1) Business Services Specialist. The Program Specialist positions will perform programmatic review of data to assure program compliance, provide training and technical assistance to service providers, review program data to calculate and monitor attainment of performance standards; and prepare reports of statistics and performance goals. The Business Services Specialist position will serve as the point of contact to new and existing business, connecting them to various no or low-cost services to develop workforce and business strategies such as market data, trends analysis, employees and/or market development. Starting salary is $42,317, commensurate with qualifications.

Program Specialists positions requires graduation from college with a degree in human services, business, or psychology and year professional experience/ and or training that includes workforce development and administration; data base management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  The Business Services Specialist positions requires graduation from college with a degree in business administration, business management, industrial technology and experience in a business or manufacturing setting, preferably including experience that includes job placement, job training activities, statistical analysis, and analysis of labor market, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
