Mid-East Commission, an Administrative Entity for the Rivers East Workforce Development Board and the Rivers East Workforce Investment Consortium will be accepting Request for Proposals (RFP’s) from qualified and eligible organizations and businesses for the competitive selection of Adult & Dislocated Worker program operation(s), Youth program operation(s), and local One-Stop Operation(s) under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). Effective Monday, March 13, 2023, two Rivers East NCWorks Career Centers will change the hours they are open for in-person services. These changes have been made to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the Centers.

The Bertie County NCWorks Career Center, located at the Martin Community College Bertie Campus (409 Granville Street, Windsor, NC), will be open for in-person services on Tuesdays only from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Rivers East Workforce Development Board (WDB) is seeking a Project Manager to provide coordination and oversight for implementation of the Rivers East Academy, a special project funded by Golden Leaf, to promote advanced manufacturing career pathways to vested employers, committed educators, economic developers, and workforce professionals across 6 counties in northeastern NC including Beaufort, Bertie, Hertford, Hyde, Martin and Pitt. Rivers East Workforce Development Board (REWDB) and NCWorks are partnering with nine other workforce boards to present North Carolina’s first virtual Small Business Workforce Forum on Thursday, January 26, from 10 am–12 pm.
